The idea for Ballroom Reloved was born some years ago… as a Professional Ballroom dancer myself, I found I was growing increasingly frustrated by the difficulties I experienced selling my Ballroom dresses. After posting pictures and information about my dresses in countless Facebook for sale groups, I would be bombarded with questions about sizing and prices, most of which turned out to be timewasters – I had thousands of pounds worth of dresses gathering dust.
Now, having retired from competing and making my way as a studio owner and teacher I heard of similar struggles from my students. I am frequently asked “what shop do I go to to buy a dress?” or “which website can I visit to find dancewear?”. My answer was always – begrudgingly – “You’ll have to look on Facebook groups”, knowing that they would now have to spend hours scrolling through hundreds of posts in the hope of finding something that might catch their eye and then start the back and forth with the seller on sizes, price etc. with likely little to no luck.
So, I decided to do something about it! I couldn’t find anything to solve this problem, so I made it – Ballroom Reloved is created exclusively for dancers by dancers.
